Club Rules

The BQHCA follows AQHA and NCHA rules.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Who can compete:
Three wins in Basic Beginner and you must advance to Beginner and/or Snaffle Bit.
Three wins in Beginner and you must advance to Snaffle Bit.
Three wins in Snaffle Bit and you must advance to the one handed classes.

Equipment not permitted:
Choke ropes, tie downs, nosebands, twisted wire snaffles and wire of any kind are not permitted. Sharpened rowels on spurs will mean instant dismissal.

Attire:
When in the arena, western attire must be worn, hats and long sleeves, collared shirts for both ladies and men.

Prize Money:
Price money for cutting events is paid as follows:
2 – 3 riders….1st place only 100%
4 – 6 riders….2 places 60% & 40%
7 – 10 riders …3 places 50%, 30% & 20%
11 – 15 riders …4 places 40%, 30%, 20% & 10

Membership:
Membership Fees are due 1st February each year.

Family membership applies to:-
Two adults and any children of the same family under 18 years riding in youth events.
